What types of Projects/Programs are being considered?

CoSN has several annual awards for excellence and achievement within the K-12 information and communication society. They are given to a school
district Chief Technology Officer (Withrow Award), a school technology team (TEAM Award), and a public servant (Public Service Award).

How will my submission be scored?
-
Scoring will be based on how well the applicant meets the criteria established for each award. For the Withrow Award for Educators
and the TEAM Award, each of the main five criteria is worth 20 points, for a total of 100 possible points.

Who may submit nominations?
-
Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged. You may submit one nomination in the Public Servant, the Withrow, or the TEAM category.

Where will the Awards be made?
-
All award winners will be recognized at CoSN's K-12 Networking Conference,
being held
at the Hilton in Auston, TX, March 11-12, 2009. Award winners receive a complimentary conference registration to attend the full conference.

What is the Prize?
-
Winners of the CoSN awards receive considerable recognition for their leadership. They are honored at the annual CoSN conference, highlighted in the
media and profiled in Scholastic Administr@tor Magazine. Each honoree also receives a beautiful trophy from CoSN.
The Withrow Award winner receives a complimentary CoSN Conference registration and a $1000 honorarium to underwrite travel and hotel expenses.

What is the deadline to submit my nomination?

The deadline for nominations is to be announced.

When will the announcement be made?

The winners of the award will be notified after January 2009. Formal announcements of the winners will be made at the
K-12 Networking Conference.
