Steve Langford is the Chief Information Officer for the Beaverton School District, serving 40,000 students and their families. Steve has served in technology leadership roles over the past 27 years, both in K-12 and higher education institutions. He is on the Board of Directors for the Association for Computer Professionals in Education, and served as President of that organization in 2014-15.
Steve worked collaboratively to establish the NW CoSN chapter, connecting Oregon and Washington districts with CoSN. He has served on numerous CoSN committees, including the Chief Technology Officers Council and (most recently) as Co-Chair of the Technical Standards Committee, which produced the Interoperability Standards for Education primer. He has served on a number of state and regional committees focusing on technology, security, and student data privacy issues. Steve is passionate about the ability of technology to transform teaching and learning, and is a frequent speaker on technology and leadership issues. He has a Masters of Educational Technology from Pepperdine University.
