Accounting Coordinator, Part Time
CoSN (the Consortium for School Networking) is the premier professional association for district technology leaders. For over two decades, CoSN has provided leaders with the management, community building, and advocacy tools they need to succeed. Today, CoSN represents over 10 million students in school districts nationwide and continues to grow as a powerful and influential voice in K-12 education. The Accounting Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. This position is expected to work 24 hours per week.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains daily cash receipts processing (merchant and lockbox accounts).
  • Prepares check deposit and make bank deposit.
  • Handles the billings and monitor past due invoices.
  • Manages weekly cash disbursements and checks mailing.
  • Maintain vendors filing.
  • Maintains different income schedules.
  • Manages kitchen/office supplies orders.
  • Manages office equipment and request for services as needed.
  • Manages internal and external accounting inquires.
  • Assists in preparing expenses reports for senior staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:      
  • Four Year College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products. Excel experience is required.
  • Experience working with NetForum, QuickBooks, and event registration databases are a plus.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and be able to juggle shifting priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
  • Works well under tight deadlines.
  • Team oriented and able to work with a small staff.
